I started to see our patients walking in the door with gadgets such as iPads and iPhones. Now for some people in their thirties and younger, that isn’t a big deal. When people like my father in law, who is 78, start getting these devices, I find it fascinating. As a business owner, I work from my iPad and iPhone but I occasionally find people who don’t realize that two devices can be synced to work together. When you are in iTunes and/or iCloud, you can choose to sync your devices together so that what is changed on one is updated on the other.

Recently, hearing aid manufacturers have started to develop mobile and tablet applications. The best one we found is called “Hear Coach” which is like Angry Birds for those with hearing loss. These apps will help you train your brain to hear better with hearing aids. Try it out!
